How do I find my calendar iCal feed URL?
In Google Calendar, go to calendar settings and find the public or secret iCal address. In Outlook, use the Publish Calendar feature. Most calendar apps have a Share or Export option that provides an iCal feed URL.
Can I display private calendar events?
Yes, if you use the secret or authenticated iCal feed URL. Be aware that displaying private events on public signage may expose sensitive information. Consider creating a separate calendar for signage content.
How often does the calendar feed refresh?
Hangar.Media checks iCal feeds every 5 minutes by default. You can adjust the refresh interval from 1 minute to 60 minutes. Faster refresh rates ensure new events appear on screens quickly.
What event data is displayed on screen?
By default, event title, date, time, and location are displayed. You can optionally show event descriptions, organiser names, and attendee counts. Set up which fields are visible in the widget settings.
