Common questions. Straight answers.
Is my Apple ID password stored securely?
Hangar.Media uses Apple app-specific passwords, which are separate from your main Apple ID password. These passwords can be revoked at any time from your Apple ID settings without affecting your primary account.
Can I display calendars shared by other iCloud users?
Yes. Shared iCloud calendars that appear in your Apple Calendar app are accessible through the CalDAV connection and can be displayed on your signage.
Does this work with iCloud calendars on a managed Apple Business account?
Yes. Apple Business Manager and managed Apple IDs support CalDAV access. Ensure app-specific passwords are enabled for managed accounts in your organisation settings.
How quickly do new events appear on the signage?
New events sync to your signage screens within 5 minutes of being created or modified in iCloud. You can trigger a manual sync for immediate updates.
