Signage screens become presentation displays. Wireless and instant.
Transform your digital signage screens into wireless presentation displays. When someone needs to present, they connect wirelessly and share their screen. When the meeting ends, the screen returns to signage content automatically. One screen, two purposes.
Every screen is a presentation display when you need it
Meeting rooms and huddle spaces often have dedicated screens for presentations that sit idle 80% of the time. With the wireless presentation integration, your Hangar.Media screens serve double duty. They display digital signage content throughout the day and switch to wireless presentation mode when someone walks up and connects. When the presentation ends, signage content resumes automatically.
What you can do with Wireless and instant.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Share from any device, any platform
The wireless presentation integration supports AirPlay for Apple devices, Miracast for Windows and Android, and browser-based sharing for everything else. Meeting participants connect with the tools already on their device. No app download, no special client, no IT support call.
Bring your own device. It just works.
AirPlay for iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Miracast for Windows laptops and Android devices
Browser-based sharing for Chromebooks and Linux
Signage to presentation and back again
When a user initiates a wireless presentation, the screen automatically switches from digital signage to presentation mode. The signage content pauses cleanly. When the presenter disconnects or the session times out, the screen returns to signage content exactly where it left off.
Smooth transitions between signage and presentations.
Instant switchover when presentation begins
Adjustable timeout for automatic session end
Clean return to signage playlist position
Only authorized presenters connect
Protect your screens from unauthorized screen sharing with PIN-based access control. A unique PIN is displayed on screen or shared by the meeting organiser. Only users who enter the correct PIN can share their screen. PINs can rotate automatically for additional security.
Screen sharing access controlled by the people in the room.
On-screen PIN display for easy connection
Auto-rotating PINs for each session
Admin override for PIN-free quick sharing
Four steps to connected screens.
From setup to live content in minutes, not days.
Enable wireless presentation
Activate the wireless presentation feature on screens designated for meeting rooms and huddle spaces in your Hangar.Media dashboard.
Set up sharing protocols
Choose which screen sharing protocols to enable based on the devices your team uses. Enable AirPlay, Miracast, browser sharing, or all three.
Set access controls
Set up PIN-based access, session timeout duration, and automatic return-to-signage behaviour for each presentation-enabled screen.
Share the connection info
The screen displays connection instructions and PIN when in standby. Users follow the on-screen prompts to start sharing wirelessly.
Built for every sector.
See how different industries use this integration to drive results.
Meeting room dual-purpose screens
Use meeting room screens for corporate communications and dashboards between meetings and wireless presentations during meetings, maximising screen utilisation.
EducationClassroom presentation sharing
Allow teachers and students to share their screens wirelessly on classroom displays that show announcements and schedules between lessons.
CorporateHuddle space collaboration
Enable quick wireless screen sharing in informal huddle spaces where screens display company news when not in use for ad-hoc meetings.
HospitalityConference centre presentation screens
Provide wireless presentation on conference room screens that display event schedules and wayfinding between booked sessions.
Common questions. Straight answers.
Do presenters need to install an app to share their screen
No. AirPlay and Miracast are built into Apple and Windows devices respectively, so no app is needed. For devices that do not support either protocol, browser-based sharing works through any modern web browser without installation. The goal is zero-friction sharing for any device.
What happens to digital signage content during a presentation
Digital signage content pauses when a presentation begins. The screen switches fully to the presenter shared content. When the presentation ends, signage content resumes from where it paused or from the beginning of the current playlist item, depending on your settings.
Can multiple people share to the same screen simultaneously
The standard wireless presentation mode supports one presenter at a time. For multi-user collaboration where multiple participants share simultaneously on a split screen, consider the Mersive Solstice integration which is designed for multi-user wireless collaboration.
What video quality does wireless presentation support
Wireless presentation supports up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second over a local network connection. Quality depends on network bandwidth between the presenter device and the player. For best results, ensure both devices are on the same local network or VLAN.
One price. The whole platform.
