Common questions. Straight answers.
Do I need an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription?
Yes. You need an active Adobe Creative Cloud subscription to access your files and libraries through the Hangar.Media integration. Any Creative Cloud plan that includes cloud storage will work.
Can I import layered PSD files?
Hangar.Media imports the flattened composite of PSD files for display on screens. If you need layer-level control, export individual layers as separate files from Photoshop before importing.
How does the Creative Cloud Library sync work?
When you update an asset in a connected Creative Cloud Library, Hangar.Media detects the change and downloads the updated version automatically. The new version replaces the old one across all playlists where it is used.
What After Effects export settings should I use?
Export compositions as H.264 MP4 at your target screen resolution (typically 1920x1080 or 3840x2160). For animations with transparency, export as ProRes 4444 or use Lottie format for vector animations.
