Targeted classroom alerts. Right room, right time.
Send targeted alerts, schedule changes, administrative announcements, and student call notifications to individual classroom displays across your school building with precise room-level targeting.
School communications, targeted to the right room.
The Hangar.Media classroom alerts integration enables administrators and office staff to send targeted messages to individual classroom screens, grade-level groups, or the entire building. Replace PA system interruptions with visual alerts that teachers acknowledge at natural break points. Send student office call notifications, schedule changes, weather delays, and administrative announcements without disrupting instruction.
What you can do with Right room, right time.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Room-level and group-level message targeting
Send alerts to a single classroom, a grade level, a department, a building wing, or the entire school. Messages appear on the targeted screens as banner notifications or full-screen takeovers depending on priority level. Non-targeted classrooms continue displaying their normal content.
The message reaches the right rooms without interrupting the wrong ones.
Single room, grade level, department, or building-wide targeting
Banner overlay and full-screen takeover display modes
Scheduled alerts for known events and immediate alerts for urgent needs
Silent student office call notifications
When the front office needs to call a student, a discreet notification appears on the classroom screen with the student name and destination. The teacher sees it at a natural transition point and sends the student without a PA announcement disrupting every classroom in the building.
No more PA interruptions for individual student calls.
Discreet banner notification with student name and destination
Teacher acknowledgment tracking in the admin dashboard
Automatic timeout and reminder if not acknowledged
Real-time schedule change notifications
When bell schedules change due to assemblies, early dismissals, or weather delays, send the updated schedule to all classroom screens. Teachers and students see the modified schedule displayed clearly with the changes highlighted so everyone knows the adjusted timing.
Modified bell schedule on every screen before the first bell rings.
Modified bell schedule display with changed periods highlighted
Assembly and event schedule overlays
Early dismissal and delay notifications with updated times
Four steps to connected screens.
From setup to live content in minutes, not days.

Associate each digital signage screen with its classroom number, teacher, grade level, and department for accurate targeting.
Set up sender permissions
Set up which staff members can send alerts and at what priority levels. Principals get all access, office staff get student calls.
Set up alert templates
Create templates for common alert types like student calls, schedule changes, and weather notifications to speed up sending.
Test and go live
Send test alerts to verify targeting accuracy and display formatting, then activate the system for daily use.

Common questions. Straight answers.
Can teachers send alerts or just administrators?
Alert sending permissions are adjustable by role. Typically administrators and office staff send alerts, but you can grant teachers permission to send alerts to their own classroom screen or to their grade-level group if needed.
How do student call notifications protect student privacy?
Student call notifications display only the student first name and destination. No reason for the call is shown on screen. The notification is designed to be minimally disruptive and avoids displaying sensitive information publicly.
Can I schedule alerts in advance?
Yes. You can schedule alerts for specific dates and times in advance. This is useful for known schedule changes, assembly reminders, and recurring announcements. Scheduled alerts are sent automatically at the scheduled time.
What happens if the network goes down during an alert?
Alerts are queued on the Hangar.Media server and delivered when connectivity is restored. For urgent alerts, the system retries delivery every 10 seconds until the screen acknowledges receipt. Emergency alerts use the highest priority queue.
