MICROS Opera events. Directly on screen.
Connect Oracle MICROS Opera Sales and Catering to your digital signage and display banquet event orders, group reservation details, and function room schedules across your hotel or resort.
Opera PMS event data, live on your signage.
The Hangar.Media MICROS Opera integration connects to the Opera Sales and Catering module through the Opera Web Services API. Banquet event orders, function room schedules, group block details, and catering setups flow directly to lobby directories, hallway displays, and kitchen screens. Your operations team works in Opera as usual and every screen stays current.
What you can do with Directly on screen.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Banquet event orders displayed for operations teams
Pull complete BEO details from Opera including room setup style, menu selections, AV requirements, and timing notes. Back-of-house screens in kitchens, banquet offices, and loading docks show staff exactly what they need for each event.
Your kitchen sees the BEO the moment your catering manager saves it.
Full BEO details including setup, menu, and AV requirements
Time-sequenced event preparation checklists
Kitchen screens showing meal counts and dietary requirements
Group arrival and VIP recognition displays
Use Opera group block data to display welcome messages for arriving groups on lobby screens. VIP guest information can trigger special welcome displays at the front desk, concierge station, or private check-in areas.
VIP guests see their name on the welcome screen before they reach the desk.
Group arrival boards with expected guest counts
VIP recognition triggers for personalized welcome screens
In-house group directories for multi-day stays
Staff-facing operational dashboards
Create operations dashboards that combine event schedules, room turnaround times, and staffing requirements from Opera. Display these on back-of-house screens so your banquet, housekeeping, and engineering teams always know what is happening and when.
Every department sees their piece of the event puzzle in real time.
Room turnaround schedules for housekeeping and setup crews
Staffing requirement displays for banquet managers
Engineering and AV setup checklists by room and time
Four steps to connected screens.
From setup to live content in minutes, not days.

Common questions. Straight answers.
Which version of Opera is required?
Hangar.Media supports Opera PMS v5.6 and later, including Opera Cloud. The integration uses Opera Web Services (OWS) or the Opera Cloud REST API, depending on your deployment model.
Does the integration access guest personal data?
No. Hangar.Media only pulls event and group-level data such as group names, event titles, room assignments, and schedules. Individual guest PII such as room numbers and personal contact details are never accessed or displayed.
Can I show different data on guest-facing vs staff-facing screens?
Yes. Hangar.Media supports role-based display templates. Guest-facing screens show event names and wayfinding, while staff-facing screens can show BEO details, setup requirements, and operational notes.
How does it handle multi-day events?
Multi-day events in Opera are displayed with day-specific details. Each day shows only that day schedule, setup changes, and meal functions. Hangar.Media automatically transitions between days at midnight or at your chosen rollover time.
