Google Docs content on screen.
Display Google Docs content on digital signage screens with live updates as collaborators edit the document.
Documents That Display Themselves
Google Docs is the go-to tool for collaborative document editing. Hangar.Media displays published Google Docs on signage screens so policies, menus, announcements, and notices can be maintained by anyone with edit access and displayed automatically on screens across the building. Update the document and the screen updates too.
What you can do with on screen.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Edit Once, Display Everywhere
When anyone edits the Google Doc, the signage screen picks up the changes at the next refresh. HR updates a policy, the cafeteria updates the menu, marketing updates the announcement — each change appears on screen without anyone touching the signage system.
Edit the doc, update every screen. Zero signage training needed.
Changes sync automatically to screens
Any editor with document access can update
No signage system access required to update content
Full Document Formatting
Google Docs formatting is preserved on signage screens. Headings, bullet points, numbered lists, tables, images, and text colours all render accurately. The document looks on screen just as it looks in the browser.
Every heading, every bullet, every image — preserved.

Common questions. Straight answers.
Can non-technical staff update signage content through Google Docs?
Yes. Anyone with edit access to the Google Doc can update the content that appears on the signage screen. No training on the signage system is needed. If they can type in a Google Doc, they can update the signage content.
How does scrolling work for long documents?
For documents that are longer than one screen, Hangar.Media can auto-scroll the document at an adjustable speed. Alternatively, you can display just the first page or a specific section of the document.
Can I style the document for signage display?
Format the document in Google Docs using headings, bold text, large fonts, and colours for signage readability. The signage screen preserves these formatting choices. We recommend using Heading 1 and 2 styles for titles visible from a distance.
Can I display multiple Google Docs on one screen?
Yes. Add multiple published Google Docs to a Hangar.Media playlist and they will rotate on screen. Each document gets its chosen display duration before the next one appears.
One price. The whole platform.
That's how we think signage should work. Content editor, screen management, and 200+ app integrations — all included from day one.
