Visitors check themselves in.
Turn touchscreen displays into self-service check-in stations. Visitors register, notify their host, print badges, and sign documents without waiting for reception staff.
Streamline arrivals with self-service
The Check-In Kiosk integration provides a complete visitor management workflow on your touchscreen displays. Visitors enter their name, select their host, sign NDAs or safety agreements, take a photo for their badge, and print a visitor pass. The host receives an automatic notification when their guest has arrived. Between check-ins, the screen displays your standard signage content.
What you can do with check themselves in.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Customize the check-in process
Build custom check-in workflows with the steps your organization requires. Add visitor name entry, company field, host lookup, NDA signing, safety video viewing, photo capture, and badge printing. Skip or require steps based on visitor type such as contractor, interview candidate, or delivery.
Contractors see a safety video and sign a waiver. Regular visitors just enter their name and print a badge.
Drag-and-drop workflow step editor
Conditional steps based on visitor type
Custom form fields for compliance data collection
Instant arrival alerts
When a visitor completes check-in, their host receives an immediate notification with the visitor name, company, and arrival time. Notifications can go via email, SMS, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. No more missed visitors waiting in the lobby.
I get a Slack message the moment my visitor checks in so I can head to reception immediately.
Email, SMS, Slack, and Microsoft Teams notification channels
Customizable notification message templates
Fallback notification to backup contacts if host is unavailable
Professional visitor badges on demand
Connect a label or badge printer to the kiosk and visitors receive a printed badge at the end of check-in. Badges include the visitor name, company, host, date, and optionally a photo. Custom badge templates match your company branding and security requirements.
Visitors wear a branded badge with their photo within 30 seconds of arriving.

Built for every sector.
See how different industries use this integration to drive results.
Office visitor management
Corporate offices set up check-in kiosks at reception desks so visitors register, sign NDAs, print badges, and notify their host without requiring a full-time receptionist.
HealthcarePatient appointment check-in
Medical offices use check-in kiosks so patients confirm their appointment arrival, update contact information, and sign intake forms while the system notifies the clinical team.
EducationSchool visitor registration
Schools use check-in kiosks to register visitors, verify identification, print visitor badges, and maintain a log of everyone who enters the building for safety compliance.
EntertainmentEvent attendee registration
Event venues set up check-in kiosks at entrance points so attendees scan their confirmation code, receive a badge, and get directed to the correct session or hall.
Common questions. Straight answers.
Can the kiosk display regular signage content when not in check-in mode
Yes. The check-in kiosk operates in dual mode. When idle, the screen displays your standard digital signage content. A tap-to-check-in button or proximity sensor activates the check-in interface. After check-in completes, the screen returns to signage content.
Which badge printers are compatible
Hangar.Media supports Dymo LabelWriter, Brother QL series, and Zebra ZD series badge printers. Any printer accessible via USB or network that supports standard label formats can be set up.
Can visitors pre-register before arriving
Yes. Hosts can pre-register expected visitors through the dashboard or email invitation. Pre-registered visitors enter their name at the kiosk and skip most steps because their information is already on file.
Is visitor data stored securely
Visitor records are encrypted at rest and in transit. Data retention policies let you automatically purge records after an adjustable period. The system supports GDPR data subject access requests and right-to-deletion workflows.
