Planner boards, on the big screen.
Display Microsoft Planner task boards, progress charts, and team assignments on digital signage screens for team-wide project visibility.
Project Progress, Visible to All
Microsoft Planner is the task management tool built into Microsoft 365. Hangar.Media displays Planner boards and progress charts on signage screens so project status is visible to the whole team without opening the app. See task buckets, assignment status, and completion progress on screens in project areas, stand-up meeting rooms, and team common spaces.
What you can do with the big screen.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Kanban Board on Screen
Display Planner boards as kanban-style task columns on signage screens. Each bucket shows its tasks with assignees, due dates, and priority labels. The visual layout makes project status immediately clear from across the room.

Priority and label colour coding
Task Completion Visualisation
Planner progress charts show task completion by bucket, priority, or assignee. Display these charts on signage screens as pie charts, bar graphs, or progress bars that give a quick read on project health.
Project health at a glance, for the whole team.
Completion percentage by bucket
Task count by priority level
Assignee workload distribution
Overdue Task Visibility
Overdue and approaching-deadline tasks are highlighted on the signage display. This creates a gentle accountability mechanism where the team can see which tasks need attention without managers having to chase individually.

Common questions. Straight answers.
Can I display multiple Planner plans on one screen?
Yes. You can create a rotation that cycles between multiple Planner plans on a single screen, or use screen zones to display two plans side by side on a large display.
How quickly do task updates appear on screen?
Hangar.Media polls the Planner API at your chosen interval, typically every 5 to 15 minutes. When a team member updates a task in Planner, the signage screen reflects the change at the next poll cycle.
Can I filter which tasks are shown on the signage screen?
Yes. You can filter by bucket, assignee, priority, due date, or label. This lets you create focused views such as only high-priority tasks, only tasks due this week, or only tasks assigned to a specific team.
Does this work with the new Microsoft Planner that merges To Do and Planner?
Hangar.Media supports Planner plans within Microsoft 365 Groups. As Microsoft evolves the Planner product, the integration adapts to use the current Planner APIs for board and task data.
