Bridge // Overview

Know how full every space is, in real time.

The Hangar.Media capacity management integration connects to people counting sensors, access control systems, and occupancy tracking platforms to display live occupancy data on your digital signage. Entrance screens show whether a space is open or full. Interior screens display current headcount versus maximum capacity. Management dashboards show occupancy trends across all monitored zones.

Bridge // Key Features

What you can do with Capacity at a glance.

Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.

Entry Status // 01

Clear entry status indicators at entrances

Display large, clear green or red entry status indicators on screens at venue entrances. Green means the space is open and visitors can enter. Red means capacity has been reached and visitors should wait. The status changes automatically as occupancy counts fluctuate.

Green means go. Red means wait. No confusion.

Capacity Gauge // 02

Visual capacity gauges and percentage displays

Show capacity utilization as visual gauges, progress bars, or percentage numbers on interior screens. Staff and visitors see at a glance how full a space is. Colour transitions from green through amber to red as capacity fills up.

Staff see the room filling up before it becomes a problem.

Bridge // Questions

Common questions. Straight answers.

Which people counting systems are supported?

Hangar.Media integrates with major people counting platforms including SensMax, Xovis, RetailNext, AXIS, and Brickstream. Any system that provides occupancy data through an API can be connected. WiFi and Bluetooth-based estimation systems are also supported.

How accurate is the occupancy count?

Accuracy depends on your people counting hardware. Stereo camera and 3D sensor systems typically achieve 95 to 98 percent accuracy. Thermal and infrared sensors achieve 90 to 95 percent. Hangar.Media displays whatever count your sensor system reports.

Can I set different capacity limits for different times?

Yes. Capacity limits can be scheduled to change by time of day, day of week, or event type. A conference room might have a 50-person limit for standard meetings but a 100-person limit for town halls with standing room.

Does it work without physical sensors?

Yes. In addition to hardware sensor integration, Hangar.Media supports manual headcount entry from staff devices and WiFi-based occupancy estimation. Manual entry is suitable for spaces where hardware sensors are not feasible.
