Complete audio control for your digital signage network

Digital signage is not just visual. Audio files add another dimension to your screen communication. Upload recorded announcements, branded jingles, safety alerts, and notification sounds to your Hangar.Media library. Schedule them to play at specific times, sync them with visual content, or trigger them based on events. Audio files turn passive displays into active communication tools.

Bridge // Key Features

What you can do with Upload, schedule, play.

Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.

File Management // 01

Audio content in your media library

Upload audio files to the same content library you use for images and videos. Organise them in folders, tag them for easy search, and preview them before scheduling. Audio files are distributed to players automatically alongside visual content.

Your audio content, managed alongside everything else.

Synchronised Playback // 02

Audio that matches your visual content

Attach audio files to visual content items so they play together. A promotional video plays with its voiceover. A safety slide plays with a spoken announcement. Audio and visual content stay perfectly synchronised during playback.

Sight and sound, perfectly in sync on every screen.

Common questions. Straight answers.

What audio file formats are supported

Hangar.Media supports MP3, WAV, OGG, AAC, and FLAC audio formats. MP3 is recommended for announcements and general audio as it provides good quality with small file sizes. WAV is recommended when you need uncompressed audio quality for music or branded audio.

Can audio play while visual content is showing

Yes. Audio files can play simultaneously with visual content. You can attach audio to specific visual items for synchronised playback, or run background audio independently of the visual playlist. Volume mixing ensures both audio sources are audible.

How do I connect the player audio output to speakers

Connect your Hangar.Media player audio output to speakers or a PA system using 3.5mm audio cable, HDMI audio extraction, USB audio adapter, or Bluetooth. The specific connection depends on your player hardware and audio equipment. Most commercial players have a 3.5mm audio output.

Can audio announcements interrupt background music

Yes. Audio items have priority levels. When a high-priority announcement is scheduled, it can duck the volume of background music or pause it entirely while the announcement plays. After the announcement finishes, background music resumes at its normal volume automatically.
