How do I connect Google Alerts to my screens?

Create your alerts at google.com/alerts and select RSS delivery. Copy the RSS feed URL for each alert and paste it into the Hangar.Media Google Alerts widget settings.

Can I monitor multiple keywords at once?

Yes. Create separate Google Alerts for each keyword and add all their RSS feeds to the widget. They merge into a single chronological feed on your screens.

How often are new alerts delivered?

Google Alerts can be set up to deliver as they happen or as a daily digest. The Hangar.Media widget checks for new alerts at your chosen refresh interval, typically every 5 to 15 minutes.

Can I filter out irrelevant results?

Yes. Use keyword exclusion filters in the Hangar.Media dashboard to block alert items containing specific words or from specific domains. You can also set up more precise search operators in Google Alerts itself.
