Lightspeed serves both restaurant and retail businesses with separate POS platforms. The Hangar.Media integration supports both Lightspeed Restaurant and Lightspeed Retail, pulling the relevant data from each. Restaurant users get menu sync with modifiers and courses. Retail users get product catalog sync with variants, pricing, and inventory levels.

Restaurant and Retail support

Whether you run a restaurant on Lightspeed Restaurant or a shop on Lightspeed Retail, the integration connects to the right platform and pulls the appropriate data. Restaurant data feeds digital menu boards while Retail data feeds product displays and promotional screens.

Real stock data on screen

For retail locations, display real-time inventory counts on staff-facing screens or availability indicators on customer-facing displays. When stock levels drop below threshold, screens can trigger reorder reminders for staff or switch to alternative product promotions for customers.

Organize screens by department

Map Lightspeed categories, departments, or product types to specific screen zones or displays. A clothing store can show menswear on one screen and womenswear on another, each pulling from the relevant Lightspeed department automatically.

Each department screen pulls only its own products from Lightspeed. Setup took 10 minutes.

Authorize Hangar.Media to access your Lightspeed Restaurant or Retail account via OAuth. The system detects which platform you use automatically.

Step 02

Set up data mapping

Map Lightspeed categories, departments, or menu groups to screen layout zones. Set up filtering rules for which items appear on each display.

Step 03

Design your display templates

Choose menu board templates for restaurant data or product display templates for retail data. Customize branding and layout.

Step 04

Enable live sync

Activate the connection and screens begin displaying your Lightspeed data. Changes in Lightspeed propagate to screens automatically on each sync cycle.

Does this work with both Lightspeed Restaurant and Lightspeed Retail

Yes. Hangar.Media supports both platforms. During setup, the system detects which Lightspeed product you use and sets up the data sync accordingly. You can even connect both if you run a combined restaurant and retail operation.

How often does inventory data refresh

Inventory data syncs on a adjustable interval, typically every 5 to 15 minutes. For high-turnover items, you can enable near-real-time stock updates using Lightspeed webhook notifications.

Can I display Lightspeed product images on screens

Yes. Product images stored in your Lightspeed catalog are imported during sync. For items without images, you can upload supplementary photography directly in the Hangar.Media content library.

Is multi-location support included

Yes. Multi-location Lightspeed accounts can connect all locations with per-store inventory, pricing, and menu data feeding each location screens independently.
