Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Touchscreen indoor map exploration
Visitors interact with full-colour indoor maps on touchscreen displays. They can pan, zoom, switch floors, and tap on rooms or points of interest to see details. The map interface is designed for large-format screens with touch targets sized for standing interaction.

Turn-by-turn indoor navigation
Visitors select their destination and the screen displays a highlighted walking route from the screen location to the target room. Routes account for stairs, elevators, and accessibility requirements, with step-by-step text directions alongside the visual path.
Step-by-step directions from right here to anywhere in the building.
Shortest path calculation between any two points
Accessible route options avoiding stairs

Common questions. Straight answers.
Do I need an existing Mapwize account?
Yes. You need an active Mapwize account with your venue maps already configured. Hangar.Media connects to your Mapwize data through their API. If you do not have Mapwize yet, contact Hangar.Media for assistance with indoor mapping vendors.
Does it work on non-touchscreen displays?
Yes. On static non-touch displays, Hangar.Media shows a rotating view of your indoor map highlighting key areas and directories. Interactive wayfinding features require a touchscreen display.
How are map updates handled?
When you update your venue in the Mapwize editor, such as adding rooms, changing names, or modifying routes, Hangar.Media detects the changes and updates all connected screens automatically within minutes.
Can visitors send directions to their phone?
Yes. After finding directions on the signage touchscreen, visitors can scan a QR code to transfer the route to their mobile device. They receive a link to the Mapwize mobile experience with their route pre-loaded.
