Live traffic conditions. Before you drive.
Show real-time Waze traffic maps, commute time estimates, incident alerts, and road closure information on digital signage screens in your office lobby, break room, or parking structure.
Waze traffic intelligence, on your screens.
The Hangar.Media Waze traffic integration uses Waze traffic data to display real-time road conditions, commute time estimates, and incident reports on your digital signage. Employees check traffic before leaving the office, hotel guests see conditions before heading to the airport, and building visitors plan their departure around real conditions rather than guesswork.
What you can do with Before you drive.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Live traffic colour map on screen
Display a live traffic map centered on your building location showing colour-coded road congestion levels. Green for flowing, yellow for slow, red for heavy traffic. The map updates every 60 seconds so the picture on screen always reflects current conditions.
One glance at the lobby screen and you know if the motorway is moving.
Colour-coded congestion overlay on road maps
Adjustable map zoom level and area coverage
Auto-centering on your building location
Pre-set commute time estimates
Set up common destination routes such as the airport, city centre, or satellite offices and display estimated drive times on screen. Each route shows current travel time compared to the typical average so people know if conditions are better or worse than usual.
Airport in 22 minutes. That is 8 minutes faster than usual.
Up to 10 pre-set destination routes
Current vs average travel time comparison
Fastest route suggestion when alternatives exist
Road incident and closure notifications
When Waze users report accidents, road closures, or hazards near your location, Hangar.Media displays alert notifications on your screens. Each alert includes the incident type, location, and estimated delay impact so people can adjust their plans.
Know about the accident on your route before you reach the car park.
Crowd-sourced incident reports from Waze community
Incident type, location, and estimated delay shown
Active road closure and construction zone alerts

Common questions. Straight answers.
Does this require a Waze API key?
Hangar.Media handles the data connection through its partnership with traffic data providers. You do not need your own Waze API key. Simply set up your location and routes in the Hangar.Media dashboard.
How far ahead can commute times predict?
Commute time estimates are based on current real-time conditions and reflect what you would experience if you left right now. The display does not predict future conditions, but the historical average comparison helps indicate whether conditions are trending better or worse than typical.
Can I show traffic for multiple areas on one screen?
Yes. You can set up split-screen layouts showing traffic maps for different areas, or display a commute time list with routes going in different directions. Multi-region views are useful for buildings located at highway junctions.
Does the traffic map show street names?
Yes. The traffic map includes street names, highway numbers, and key landmarks. Map detail level adjusts automatically based on your chosen zoom level. Zoomed-out views show highways and major roads, while zoomed-in views show local streets.
