Common questions. Straight answers.
Which signage players support HDMI passthrough?
HDMI passthrough requires a player with an HDMI input port. Compatible players include select models from BrightSign, Giada, and other professional signage hardware with HDMI-in capability.
Does HDMI passthrough support audio?
Yes. Audio from the HDMI source passes through to the display along with video. You can set Hangar.Media to mute the HDMI audio while keeping signage audio active, or vice versa.
Can I display HDMI input in a zone alongside other content?
Yes, on supported hardware. The HDMI input can be assigned to a specific zone in a multi-zone layout while other zones display signage content simultaneously.
What resolutions are supported for passthrough?
Hangar.Media supports HDMI passthrough up to 4K at 60fps with HDCP 2.2 compatibility. The output resolution matches the input signal or can be scaled to fit the display.
