Weather-driven content. Automatic.
Set rules that automatically change your screen content based on real-time weather conditions. Show hot drink promotions when it is cold, umbrella ads when it rains, sunscreen offers when UV is high. Your screens react to the weather without manual intervention.
Content that responds to the weather in real time.
The Hangar.Media Weather Triggers integration monitors real-time weather data and automatically switches screen content when conditions match your defined rules. Create triggers based on temperature, precipitation, wind speed, humidity, UV index, and weather condition codes. Each trigger maps to specific content that plays only when conditions are met.
What you can do with Automatic.
Three capabilities that make this integration essential for your digital signage network.
Define rules based on any weather parameter
Create trigger rules using temperature thresholds, precipitation type, wind speed, humidity levels, UV index, and weather condition codes. Combine conditions with AND logic for precise targeting, like showing ice cream ads only when temperature is above 25C and it is sunny.
If the weather does X, your screens do Y. Rules-based content that runs itself.
Temperature above, below, or between thresholds
Precipitation type triggers for rain, snow, sleet, and hail
Wind speed, humidity, UV index, and visibility conditions
Map specific content to each weather condition
Assign layouts, playlists, or individual media items to each trigger rule. When conditions are met, the assigned content plays automatically. When conditions clear, screens return to their default content automatically.
Rain triggers the umbrella ad. Sunshine triggers the patio menu. It all happens automatically.
Map layouts, playlists, or media to trigger rules
Priority ordering when multiple triggers match simultaneously
Smooth transition effects between triggered and default content
Combine weather triggers with time-based scheduling
Layer weather triggers on top of your existing content schedule. Your regular schedule runs as normal, but weather triggers can override specific zones or entire screens when conditions are met. Once the weather changes back, the regular schedule resumes.
Your schedule runs the show. Weather triggers are the override.
Weather triggers override scheduled content when active
Zone-level or screen-level override options
Automatic return to scheduled content when trigger clears
Four steps to connected screens.
From setup to live content in minutes, not days.
Create trigger rules
Define weather conditions that should trigger content changes using the visual rule builder in the dashboard.
Assign content to each trigger
Map specific layouts, playlists, or media items to each trigger rule.
Set priority and fallback
Order triggers by priority and set default content for when no triggers are active.
Activate on your screens
Enable weather triggers on your screen groups and let the system react automatically.
Built for every sector.

Weather-responsive promotions
Automatically show rain gear promotions when it rains, sunscreen when UV is high, and warm clothing when temperatures drop.
HospitalityDynamic menu boards
Switch from cold drink promotions to hot beverages automatically when temperature drops below a set threshold.
CorporateEmployee safety alerts
Display ice warnings on office entrance screens when temperatures drop below freezing and roads may be dangerous.
EntertainmentEvent contingency messaging
Automatically display indoor alternative activities when rain or high winds are detected at outdoor venues.
Common questions. Straight answers.
What weather conditions can I set triggers for?
Triggers support temperature, feels-like temperature, precipitation type, precipitation probability, wind speed, humidity, UV index, visibility, cloud cover, and general weather condition codes like sunny, cloudy, rain, or snow.
How fast does content change when weather changes?
Weather data is checked every 5 minutes. When a trigger condition is met, the content switch happens within the current check cycle, so screens react within 5 minutes of the weather change.
Can I combine multiple conditions in one trigger?
Yes. Use AND logic to combine conditions. For example, trigger only when temperature is above 30C AND it is sunny AND UV index is above 6. All conditions must be true for the trigger to activate.
What happens when no triggers are active?
When no trigger conditions are met, your screens display their default scheduled content. The system always falls back gracefully to your regular programming.
