Sectors // Overview

Lean manufacturing runs on visible metrics. Paper signs can't keep up.

Modern manufacturing — discrete assembly, process, continuous-flow — runs on lean metrics: OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), availability, performance, quality, cycle time, downtime reasons. Paper andon boards and whiteboards updated once per shift can't reflect the minute-by-minute reality of the line. Hangar.Media embeds live dashboards from Power BI, Tableau, Grafana and manufacturing-specific BI (Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk) onto line-side screens so operators, team leaders and maintenance see the same numbers as the plant manager. Kaizen boards update as improvements roll out. Safety culture reinforced daily.

Live OEE dashboards (availability × performance × quality) from Power BI, Tableau, Grafana
Andon-board integration with Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal
Safety-days-since counters with toolbox-talk and PPE reminders
Kaizen boards with before-after metrics and improvement-champion recognition
Bridge-override emergency broadcast for line-safety, fire and chemical-spill events
Sectors // What It Does

Built for how manufacturing actually run.

The capabilities that matter in this sector — concrete, specific, and backed by the integrations your team already uses.

OEE Dashboards // 01

The line's OEE, live above the line.

Line-side screens embed live OEE dashboards — availability, performance, quality, and the composite OEE score — drawn from your MES or manufacturing BI stack. Operators see their line's performance live. Team leaders see the plant rollup. The plant manager and the machine operator read the same reality. When OEE slips below target, the screen flags red before the end-of-shift review.

Operators, team leads and plant managers all read the same number at the same time.
  • Authenticated BI-dashboard embedding (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana)
  • MES integration (Ignition, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal)
  • OEE composite with availability / performance / quality breakdown
  • Threshold-based colour coding (green ≥85%, amber 70-85%, red <70%)
Andon Boards // 02

Line stops. The andon board calls for help.

Andon boards integrate with line-stop triggers (operator push, sensor events, PLC signals) to surface who needs help and what kind — quality issue, maintenance required, material shortage, safety stop. Team leaders and maintenance supervisors see the call immediately and route a response. Line-stop duration reduces when the call is digital, visible, and timestamped.

Operator pulls the andon. The team lead sees it and responds. No 10-minute delay.
  • PLC and MES integration for automatic line-stop detection
  • Operator-side push-button integration for manual andon calls
  • Response-time tracking with shift-lead and maintenance-supervisor escalation
  • Post-shift andon analytics for root-cause pattern identification
Safety // 03

Days since last incident, on every line.

Safety-days-since displays on line-side and break-room screens reinforce daily safety culture. Toolbox-talk schedules, PPE-reminder content per zone, and hazardous-substance handling notices rotate alongside the days-since counter. When an incident resets the counter, the plant sees why — reinforcing learning without naming individuals.

Safety is a daily conversation, not an annual audit.
  • Days-since-incident counters with automatic reset on logged events
  • Toolbox-talk schedule boards with upcoming-session countdown
  • PPE-reminder content (ear-defenders, safety boots, eye protection by zone)
  • COSHH / OSHA hazardous-substance handling reminders per work area
Kaizen // 04

This week's improvement, on the floor.

Kaizen boards surface the week's continuous-improvement activities — problem identified, root cause, countermeasure, before-after metrics, improvement champion. When a changeover reduction or scrap-rate improvement lands, the whole plant sees the win and the team behind it. Cultural reinforcement of the improvement mindset.

Improvements happen everywhere. The floor sees them happening.
  • Kaizen activity boards with before-after metric comparison
  • Improvement-champion recognition with team photo (opt-in)
  • 5S audit scores and trends per zone
  • SMED (changeover) improvement tracking with target vs actual
Multi-Site // 05

Every plant, every line, one dashboard.

Global manufacturing operations manage plants centrally with per-site autonomy. Group-wide OEE rollup on the group-ops-centre wall; per-plant drill-down in each plant's control room; per-line dashboards on the shop floor. Language, shift-schedule and regulatory variants per plant. Central safety campaigns deploy estate-wide; local plant managers retain autonomy over local recognition and kaizen.

Global plant performance at a glance. Local plant culture preserved.
  • Group-wide OEE rollup with per-plant drill-down
  • Per-plant shift-schedule and language localisation
  • Central safety-campaign rollout with per-plant override
  • Role-based permissions (group ops, plant manager, line lead, operator)

Sectors // Questions

Common questions. Straight answers.

Which MES and manufacturing BI tools do you integrate with?

Ignition by Inductive Automation, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal / MindSphere, SAP MII, Aveva Wonderware, GE Proficy. For BI-layer dashboards we embed Power BI, Tableau, Grafana, Domo, Looker with authenticated SSO. Manufacturing-specific analytics (Tulip, Shopfloor.io) integrate via REST API. Every integration is included in the flat per-screen price.

Can andon boards integrate with PLC line-stop signals?

Yes. For lines with PLC-logged line-stops (Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7, Omron, Mitsubishi), we integrate via OPC-UA or MQTT to surface line-stop events with timestamps and reason codes. For lines without PLC-level integration, operator push-button andon calls on a connected tablet or web-app work. Andon-response-time tracking with supervisor escalation is standard.

How do you handle safety-days reset when an incident happens?

Automatic reset on logged incidents in your EHS system (Intelex, Enablon, custom). Manual reset option with mandatory reason-code-entry for plant-manager oversight. Post-incident audit log captures who reset the counter, when, and the incident reference for root-cause review. Days-since-incident is one piece of a broader safety-culture reinforcement — combined with toolbox talks, PPE reminders, and hazardous-substance messaging.

What does this actually cost for a mid-size plant?

£5 per screen per month, flat. A mid-size plant with 15-25 production lines typically runs 40-60 line-side and supporting screens. One rate across every feature we ship. Cancel any month. No activation fee, no minimum term.
